This thick, iconic Spratling design was handmade & signed in the early 1940's. The bracelet measures 3/4" high with an interior wearable length of 7" & weighs a hefty 66.1 grams. Excellent condition & patina. Fully hallmarked on the reverse. The bracelet is sometimes referred to as the XO design. Phyllis Goddard's excellent website spratlingsilver.com states the design "comes from the Nutall Codex which depicts Mixtec history". Pictured on p. 43 of MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill & Carole Berk. This piece is signed Taxco and ATA as well as being hallmarked “925.” and eagle/bell 3.
