Authentic bag from Albury Sail Shop on Man-O-War Cay, Abaco, Bahamas. The original Sail Shop. Over 60 years ago “Uncle” Norman Albury was the local sailmaker. Norman’s wife, Selina, began making small bags and purses from the leftover scraps of canvas that Norman would use to make the sails.
Albury's Sail Shop is a family-owned business that has been operating for three generations on Man-O-War Cay. The sail shop is well-known for its colorful fashionable items that are all made from a sturdy canvas fabric, traditionally used for sails. All of their designs have the tropical surroundings in mind and some of their more popular items include bags and hats of various sizes.
Items cannot be shipped and are only available from the store on island. You'll have to plan a visit in order to get one of these unique creations.
