Profusely illustrated with wood engravings, portraits, travel and history features. Notable contents include Mark Twain’s “A Curious Experience" in Vol. XXIII and “An Aboriginal Pilgrimage" on the Zuni in Vol. XXIV. Each volume about 10" x 7". Period marbled edges and decorative endpapers. Solid set from the first year of The Century after the name change from Scribner’s Monthly.
